New Radnor Community Council

Radnor Valley Gardening Club

Following our very successful meeting in January with Elizabeth Bankes, formerly president of the RHS and owner of Hergest Croft Gardens in Kington, the group is pleased to announce, that in March we will welcome David Burridge of the Walled Garden at Doldowlod,. David’s interest is in pushing boundaries and aiming to be self sufficient in Home Grown Vegetables all year round. He has experimented with growing unusual fruit and vegetables, which will weather the harsh climate of Mid Wales. So if this is a subject near to your heart , or even your stomach ! Do make a note in your diaries, and come along

We are  happy to announce that so far this year our evenings are proving a great success. At least the committee thinks so! For our next speaker in April , we welcome Marion Stainton. We have had Marion before and have visited her award winning garden previously. If you have not been look out for it in the NGS Open Gardens Herefordshire. A consummate gardening professional Marion is going to talk about Companion Planting – or how to grow a lot in a small space! Don’t miss her. She will be good.

Please note the temporary change of venue.
